My Poem

Hi everyone welcome back. I've written a poem myself with the Oak National Academy. My poem was inspired by Roger McGough. It's called the sound collector. My poem is

The House Sound Collector

Verse 1

A stranger called this morning
Dressed all in black and grey
Put every sound into a bag
And carried them away

Verse 2

The nattering of the noisy adult
The humming of the microwave
The boiling of the hot water
The tapping of the clean, fresh water
The swirling of the roaring, dizzy wash machine

Verse 3

The shouting of the loud children
The banging of the wooden whiteboard
The squeaking cleansed table
The ticking of the old, spotless clock
The drawing of the curtains

Verse 4
The flush of the white toilet
The squirting of the soap container
The whirling of the toothbrush

Verse 5
The tweeting of the cute birds
The swaying of the huge, secure and tall trees
The calm, cool breeze
The spinning of the relaxing fan

Verse 6

A stranger called this morning
He didn't leave his name
Left us only silence
The house will never be the same
